2050 or 3050 power performance for switch is enough because the game from nintendo always FUN with all people... hope with switch 2 the Link game is more amazing...

There should be no next gen consoles. PS and Xbox are shit. Just throw in the towel and put their games on PC. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Nintendo, they can do whatever they want. That’s what they always do.

Looking back it feels so obvious that we as a community should have been way more skeptical from the get go in regard to the initial acquisitions of Bethesda and Activision by Xbox. These corporations can only get so big before they start to buckle under their own wait and begin throwing the actual talented people under the bus to stay afloat.

This has to be the worst performing game I've ever played in my entire life. I'd heard bout the stuttering before purchasing and thought it wouldn't be too bad, but hell was I wrong. As soon as I walked the first few steps in-game, I knew this was gonna be unplayable. I gotta say I'm pretty sensitive to stuttering in general, but I can take some loading stutters here and there, as nowadays every pc game is programmed like dogshit and one is already used to unpolished crap no highend system can handle no matter the specs but the dead space remake is the most ridiculous piece of software I've ever come across. To make matters even worse, the game itself looks and sounds stunning and I could have a blast playing it with solid performance. Maybe one day they'll fix it, but I don't have high hopes.

More is always better. But it costs $$$ to add more and more RAM. Faster storage & I think about 24GB-32GB of RAM would’ve been perfect for the current gen consoles.

Ps6 will have 24gb gddr7. Sony is highly predictable for their conservative approach to ram improvements in their gaming consoles.ps4 to ps4 pro had just 1gb ddr3 ram difference. Ps5 to ps5 pro will have no difference in terms of increase in amount of ram. Sony May even surprise us by sticking with 16gb gddr7 for the ps6.

Fundamentally? Fundamentally, there is a math. On PC you have VRAM, RAM for OS and RAM for the game. So 2-3GB for OS, 6GB for game and CPU based processing, 12 GB for GPU and AI related processing - so you need 20-24GB of RAM. That's a sweet spot. Can you make useful clips instead generic fillers?

Some people just come up with the stupidest comments and questions. It is obvious newer consoles will have more memory, but 40 or 60 gbs of RAM on a console is not necessary or cost effective.

I played the demo on PS4, it's extremely well optimized (and I'm even surprised it wasn't released on Switch) it's a true love letter as a final tribute to Akira Toriyama, I would love for Digital Foundry to make a video complete version of this game, especially since it was the last work Akira did before leaving us.

I am happy the last 3 games I played in my Ps4 Pro (spiderman edition red color) which I owned since 2018 and has a 1tb ssd from day 1, as I removed the built in 1tb HDD and placed 1tb ssd as soon I opened my new console back then. I beat resident evil 4 remake in 1080p 60fps mode, f1 2023 1440p 60fps mode, and currently playing alan wake remastered 1080p 60fps mode. Alan wake and Resident evil 4 remake has option to switch to dynamic resolution 4k mode with locked 30. Same as resident evil 8 village 1080p 60 or dynamic 4k 30. I can't believe the pro with 2.1ghz jaguar cpu is still capable of 60fps games at 1440p few games (mgs5 for example) and tones of games in 1080p 60fps mode even the games made in 2023.

Since they use unified RAM&VRAM that should be more expensive than mere RAM due to speed requirements. Also why we're only barely getting 16GB for most GPUs still. Very much doubt they'll include more than 32GB next generation considering even 1600$ GPUs don't have that yet. And that will be like half or two thirds reserved for GPU use so effectively much less as RAM while that's very cheap to have in a PC.

Next gen needs a lot of memory and bandwidth which Infinite Cache can do also 3D V Cache for the cpu.

Next gen will have less but faster memory, GDDR7 pro.

loved Sandland.., was very relaxing & feelgood.. (even on hard mode, it was relaxing.., but just took my time on the skill upgrades, to be safe on hard)

Recently got a 3060ti and was super excited to give this a try after Red Dead 2, and I have to say it makes it even more disheartening that Todd the God didn’t think it was, he must be going blind that poor old boy.

wait for a patch for PC, no, eh, it takes a moment to say not to buy it when it comes to PC, while on consoles, even if it's pitiful, somehow it always saves itself. Starfield, on the other hand, even if it drops below 30fps at 60fps in the end the patch for 60fps is fine every now and then, probably the first moments of the PC are less often than you have to go back to the city with Starfield, but there it's fine, as it happens.. . I add native 4K at 60fps which is great and necessary when on console, however if it goes to 720p it's just a little softer. I understand that it is also EU-5, and I think that relying on other people's assumptions is not very serious. The fake PCista isn't bad as a cover (Alex), not for objectivity, but for chickens it's fine...

I’m interested to see how powerful the next Xbox is going to be. I’m really hoping they move over to Nvidia chips like a platinum Xbox that at least has four times the power of the series X. I’d like to change/ leap and have software put out from Microsoft that lets AAA games maximize the new Xbox to develop a AAA title and under five years maybe like four at best

If it's as powerful as the Xbox OneS or the PS4 PRO, then that's a huge win for me. If this is true, the disparity between the Switch 2 and PS5 will be a lot less than it was with the Switch and Ps4. It's sometimes hard to see the difference between a great looking PS4 pro game and a ps5 game.

Hell yeah, steam box redux! The steam controller was awesome. Bring it on. Hopefully it's tiered so you could spend 400 , 600 or 800 to get low mid and high tier performance. I'd shell out 800 bucks if I could play something like dragons dogma 2 with 1440p with 60fps . Or even gta 6 1440p/60fps, we already know ps5 pro won't be able to do 60fps on gta6 but a high end steam box could!. Bring it on Gaben.
